BloombergNEF, in its recent Global Energy Storage Outlook (2021), estimates that global storage capacity is expected to reach 358 GW/1028 GWh by 2030, more than 20 times current capacity, for a global market of $262 billion.
Bloomberg also points out that the majority of these installations will meet energy needs over extended periods of time, hence the need to develop new massive storage technologies capable of providing electricity for longer periods than lithium batteries.
STOLECT agrees with this analysis and is convinced that STOLECT technology will be able to meet these needs.
