In 2014, STOLECT was a laureate of the World Innovation Contest in the "Energy Storage" category.
The World Innovation Contest aims to identify projects with "major innovation and strong potential for the French economy" that meet the 7 ambitions of the "Innovation 2030" Commission chaired at the time by Anne Lauvergeon. The 110 winning projects (out of 1,200 candidate projects) were selected by a jury of experts on the basis of 4 criteria: the degree of breakthrough in terms of innovation, scientific feasibility, the potential economic spin-offs of the project and the ability of the project leader to carry out the project.
